The plants are non-spiny and bear fruit in bunches, offering high yield potential in a short time. Ideal for making Bhartha or paste, the fruits are low in seed content. Eggplants thrive in warm weather, needing full sun and well-drained soil. They are tolerant of drought and excessive rainfall but grow best between 22-30°C. They are adaptable to various soils, but frost and temperatures below 16°C slow growth.
